David Phillips admitted assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared before Blackpool Magistrates on July 20.
Prosecutor Pam Smith said the assault, which occurred on July 19, was captured on hotel CCTV.
Phillips, of Harrow View, Hayes, also admitted to having a knife in public and drink driving.
The knife was found on him when he was arrested after police found him in his car twice the legal limit.
Phillips was bailed pending the preparation of pre-trial reports.
