Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a series of incidents of graffiti which supports “far-right sentiments” that have appeared in the Eltham area over the past three years.
The most recent incidents took place in the early hours on four separate dates in December 2023, along Rochester Way, in Blackheath.
The racist graffiti had been sprayed on public and private property.
Throughout the three-year period, graffiti has been targeted at locations in the Eltham Page, Eltham Park and Progress and Eltham Town and Avery Hill wards.
Officers believe one person is responsible for the graffiti. The suspect police are looking for is described as a man around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, who “walks with a distinctive gait”.

Inspector Kristina Money, investigating, said: “This individual has been active for a significant period of time and his actions have caused significant distress in the local community.
“This man makes efforts to conceal his identity but I am hoping the image may resonate with someone who can assist in helping us establish who he is. If you can help, please get in contact with us.”
A spokesman for the Met said: “If you have any information that could assist police, please call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1298/5Feb.
“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
