One of the awards is Best Mediterranean Establishment South which went to a South London eatery in Beckenham. Agora is a modern Mediterranean restaurant which is described as a ‘gem’ and is known for their distinct ambience. When looking at their menu, they have a wide range of hot starters and nibbles to seafood platters and stews. Fan favourites according to TripAdvisor include the feta and spinach pie, the lamb cutlets, moussaka and grilled fish.

They also offer Bottomless Brunch, a party menu, a dessert menu and mid-week menu – meaning that you’ll be spoilt for choice. On top of this, they also do takeaway via Uber Eats if you’d prefer to eat from the comfort of your own living room.
You only need to look at reviews on TripAdvisor to see why this restaurant is such a worthy winner. One customer wrote: “It was first time at Agora and it certainly won’t be our last. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and once seated with drinks, we ordered the shared starters. They were all delicious, especially the feta and spinach pie and the portions were so generous.”
A second happy visitor said: “Just ordered a takeaway from here through a third party app, and am so impressed. I ordered just for myself, and got a vegetarian plate and baklava. The value for the vegetarian plate was incredible, there was so much food! Everything was delicious, and the food turned up fresh and looking lovely.”
A third simply commented: “I visited this restaurant last weekend and had the most delicious dinner in the best atmosphere, from the minute my friend and I walked in you could feel what a friendly restaurant this was.
“We had three courses each and some cocktails, and every single dish and drink were delicious, but what makes this restaurant so special is the staff. They could not do enough for us, we spent 4 hours in there and they even closed but didn’t make us feel rushed, in fact I didn’t even realised they had shut!”
