Ukrainian restaurant in south London has been inundated with donations for those affected by the conflict.
The Prosperity, on York Street in Twickenham, is one of several dedicated donation centres which have been established to send much-needed items for refugees in the war alongside centres in Stratford, Holland Park and elsewhere.
Volunteers have been on hand to sort through the items, ranging from socks, sleeping bags and first aid kits. The items will then be shipped to Ukraine.
The leader of Twickenham Council, Councillor Gareth Roberts, said: “Prosperity Cafe are doing a great job, taking donations for those enduring or fleeing violence in Ukraine.
“People are being incredibly generous. Today I visited and have offered use of one of our largest meeting rooms at York House as overspill storage should they need it.”

The restaurant is also offering a special lunchtime menu which will raise funds for those in need.
Twickenham’s MP, Munira Wilson, said: “Amazing local support for Twickenham’s Prosperity restaurant, which is collecting donations and offering a lunch special with proceeds going to their fundraising efforts.”
At this stage, volunteers aim to take supplies to Poland so they can be sent to Lviv which is about 40 miles from the border.
Many refugees have made their way to the city in western Ukraine as they flee the war which has wrought devastation on many of the country’s major cities.
Volunteers have been collecting items including mobile phone charger packs, baby milk and hot water bottles.

In a display of solidarity, nearby Church Street has also been decked out with Ukrainian flags.
Londoners have also queued for hours to load up lorries worth of donations to be taken to Ukrainians fleeing their homes as Russian missiles strike Kyiv at a community centre in Balham.
Volunteers at the White Eagle Club, a Polish social centre, were flooded with donations which will go to help refugees in fleeing the conflict.
Meanwhile, the Evening Standard has launched an appeal to raise money for the thousands of men, women and children who are fleeing the fighting in Ukraine.
