A friend of the victim told MyLondon that the victim had been “given the restaurant” by his parents.
He said: “We just got called an hour ago. I just saw a video on Snapchat.
“He was like a brother and my right hand man.
“Not long ago he lost his friend the same way. His friend was 18.
“For him to lose his life is mental. His parents gave him the restaurant to help him keep on track.
“He went to jail and came out and they wanted him to focus on good s*** but it’s hard to get out once you’re in.”
Another friend of the victim, who asked to remain anonymous, told MyLondon: “I knew him for many years since he was a little boy.
“It’s sad because we are affected as a community. It’s sad because he was a young guy, a hard worker.”
A police cordon remains at the scene while forensic officers investigate. Police were seen “putting witnesses in cars”, while local residents were “standing across the street looking shocked.”
One small girl was seen “in tears” as she and her family walked past the scene.
