Salt Bae posts shares strange washing-up method in bizarre video at Knightsbridge Nusr-Et restaurant and fans are impressed

Salt Bae has taken a break from sprinkling salt over £1,500 steaks at his Knightsbridge Nusr-Et restaurant to spend some time behind the scenes as a kitchen porter.

The famous chef Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, made headlines earlier this year when one customer at his Knightbridge restaurant received a bill for £37,000.

Posting to his nearly 40 million Instagram followers yesterday (November 21), he could be seen helping out with the dishes in another bizarre clip.

In what was an incredibly strange 60 seconds, the restaurateur can be seen cleaning plates, pots and pans while a group of his staff wearing masks look attentively over his shoulder.

With the sound of Unchain My Heart by Joe Crocker playing in the background, the internet sensation told his staff: “Focus, clean, all the time”.

At the end of the short clip, Salt Bae throws his apron over the hot plate and into the crowd of his staff, who then proceed to give him a round of applause – and fans were equally impressed.

One wrote: “How I think dishes should be cleaned.”

Another added: “When the owner mingles with every employee of any designation and shows how smallest of the work is done, the company will rule the business.”

A third chimed in: “I wanna work for this guy.”

A fourth said: “It’s all in the detail.”

Despite some negative media attention recently, including when the restaurant was accused of deleting its negative reviews on TripAdvisor, it hasn’t stopped celebrities like David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio and the Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro from paying a visit.

Even TOWIE star Gemma Collins has been snapped spending hundreds of pounds at the luxury steak house.

Chef and restaurateur Salt Bae is the owner of the Nusr-Et chain of steakhouses and has become an internet sensation due to his unique style and kitchen skills.

During his twenties, he worked as a chef in the USA and Argentina before returning to Turkey and opening his first Nusr-Et restaurant in 2010.

He first found internet fame when a video from his restaurant’s Twitter account went viral, showing the chef sprinkling salt in a theatrical manner.

It racked up millions of views and turned him into an internet star, and he now has tens of millions of followers for his restaurant on Instagram.
