Insurance group Hiscox has recruited Helen Rose to serve as chief financial officer of Hiscox London Market and Hiscox Syndicates Limited.
The London-based hire has more than a decade of insurance industry experience, including time spent at Aspen Group where she was insurance CFO, UK finance chief, and most recently, chief accounting officer. She will join Hiscox in February of next year.
Rose’s credentials also span her stint as senior finance operations manager at Barclays as part of her 10-year pre-insurance banking career.
“Hiscox London Market has ambitious plans across our portfolio, and Helen will bring valuable finance experience and acumen towards the achievement of our goals,” said Hiscox London Market chief executive Kate Markham.
“With a broad background in banking and insurance, she will provide a unique perspective to our business, and I’m looking forward to welcoming her to the team.”
The incoming CFO, meanwhile, commented that it’s an “enticing” prospect to come onboard an organisation with Hiscox’s history and calibre.
Rose, who will act as a strategic and commercial partner to Markham, asserted: “We are well placed to take advantage of improving conditions in the market, and I’m excited to play a part in delivering long-term, profitable growth.”
