East Dulwich police live: Updates as police cordon off restaurant after stabbing

A restaurant in South London has been cordoned off by police following a stabbing.

A person was knifed, reportedly in Spinach restaurant, on Lordship Lane, East Dulwich at round 4.15pm this afternoon (Monday, April 19).

A witness who was consuming on the restaurant defined they noticed somebody take refuge inside after an incident involving mopeds.

Despite hiding within the restaurant the sufferer is then believed to have been stabbed.

Taking to Twitter somebody defined there had been a “stabbing at or exterior Spinach. Apparently a moped with two lads ran one other off the highway, took refuge at spinach and was stabbed. Unsure of situation.”

A second passer-by took a photograph of the police tape writing: “Lordship Lane presently blocked at junction with Bawdale Road as a consequence of a police incident.”

The Met Police has confirmed that officers have been referred to as at 4.15pm alongside the London Ambulance Service. The sufferer, a person, has been rushed to hospital. An replace on his situation awaits.
