Brockwell Park stabbing: Boy, 16, airlifted to hospital after daylight knife attack

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital following a shocking daylight knife attack in a South London Park.

The stabbing occurred in Brockwell Park, Brixton at 1.48pm this afternoon (Sunday, February 14).

Police units and air ambulances hurried to the scene where emergency workers located the victim.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 1.48hrs on Sunday, February 14 to reports of a stabbing in Brockwell Park, SE24.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A 16-year-old boy was found with a stab injury to the leg. He has been taken to a South London hospital. His condition has been confirmed as non-life-threatening.

“A crime scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing. At this early stage, there have been no arrests.”

The knife attack happened in broad daylight

An air ambulance also landed within the park.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told MyLondon: “We were called at 1.48pm today (February 14) to reports of a stabbing in Brockwell Park, Brixton.

“We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a car, an incident response officer, and we also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“A person was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
