Millions of people are flocking to polling stations to vote in a highly anticipated general election that may significantly reshape British politics. According to opinion polls, the Labour Party, led by Keir Starmer, is poised for a resounding victory, potentially ending 14 years of Conservative rule.

The polls predict a historic defeat for the Conservatives, led by Rishi Sunak, with a projected 82 seats. Meanwhile, Jeremy Corbyn, running as an independent in Islington North may secure a surprise win despite losing the Labour whip in 2020, according to a survey conducted by a media outlet in the UK.

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who is running for reelection as an independent, posted a photo of himself voting Thursday in his North London district.
