Four delicious cocktail spots to visit in south east London

With the bank holiday weekend coming up there will be plenty of people looking to enjoy a drink over the long weekend.

South east London offers some great places to enjoy a cocktail or two and we’ve rounded up four of the best of them we think you should try.

Bank House, Chislehurst

Located within the former NatWest bank building, Bank House on Chislehurst High Street makes for a cosy and dog-friendly place to stop off for a glass of wine or a full meal.

They have a range of crafted cocktails made at the bar with classics like Old-Fashioned and Cosmopolitan along with specials like their Bank House G&T and Conker Espresso Martini.

Cocktails start at £12 each along with their cocktails on tap, which include a Margarita and Rum Punch at £12.

 

Babur, Forest Hill

If you’re looking for a wide range of cocktails with an Indian twist then Babur, a multi-award winning restaurant in Forest Hill, has a menu featuring 34 crafted cocktails.

Babur has been part of the Lewisham scene for 37 years, offering visitors a chance to experience gourmet Indian food with experimentative dishes like Swordfish Tikka and Mango Crème Brulee.

The cocktail list features a range of drinks inspired by India, including drinks like the popular Currytini made with curry leaf and lime, and the Lavender and Cardamon Daiquiri, with prices starting at £9.50.

Grind, Greenwich

Grind in Greenwich offers a relaxed space for brunch and dinner, as well as evening drinks with a cocktail menu served every evening from 4pm.

They have a range of cocktails priced at £7 each, including floral flavours like the Elderflower Spritz as well as fruity flavours like the Appletini and Mojito.

It’s also dog-friendly and has a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian food on offer.

Dorothy and Marshall, Bromley

Located in the former courthouse of Bromley’s Old Town Hall, Dorothy & Marshall offers a menu inspired by modern British cuisine along with a cocktail menu featuring crafted cocktails.

The cocktail menu features a selection of themed cocktails inspired by the Bromley area, including a Kipps named after the novel by Bromley writer H.G Wells and inspired by a lemon sherbet, and a Rebel Rebel inspired by the Bromley-born artist David Bowie.

Cocktail prices start from £6.60.
