Aslef strike action in May: c2c outlines service levels

Industrial action is planned to impact c2c services from Monday May 6 until Saturday May 11.

Aslef, a trade union for train drivers and railway workers, announced the strikes.

Tuesday May 7 will be the day most severely affected with no c2c trains on the entire route.

Rob Mullen, c2c managing director, said: “I’m really disappointed that an agreement with Aslef hasn’t been reached.

“The impact of this ongoing action is significant for our customers and colleagues,” he added.

On Monday May 6, a limited bank holiday service will run and engineering works will happen between Grays and Pitsea.

Tuesday May 7 will have no c2c trains on the network.

A reduced service will run on Wednesday May 8 to Saturday, May 11.

Engineering works are planned after 11.30pm which will see trains start/terminate at Liverpool Street, Barking or Upminster on May 8 and 9.
