Tube passengers face delays during rush-hour

London commuters are facing Tube delays on a number of lines during rush-hour on Wednesday afternoon.

There are minor delays on Bakerloo and Jubilee lines, while there are severe delays on the part of Metropolitan Line, Transport for London has said.

Earlier disruption on Thameslink services between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars has been cleared after an early fault on a train.

National Rail said earlier damage to an electric third rail between East Croydon and East Grinstead / Uckfield, which caused disruption to Thameslink and Southern trains, has also been cleared.

Overground part-suspended over faulty train

There is no service between Highbury & Islington and Stratford on the London Overground because of a faulty train at Camden Road.

There are also severe delays between Highbury & Islington and Richmond / Clapham Junction.

Minor delays on Bakerloo Line

Overground disruption now expected until 10am

Disruption on the London Overground is now expected until 10am between Clapham Junction / Richmond and Stratford.

Lines have reopened but trains may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Thameslink and Southern users face cancellations in south London

Southern and Thameslink services in south London may be cancelled until 1pm after damage to rails between East Croydon and East Grinsted.

Services running between those stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised by up to 45 minutes.

Affected services are:

– Between London Victoria and East Grinstead

– Between London Bridge and Uckfield

– Between East Grinstead and Bedford

Minor delays on Northern Line

There continue to be minor delays on the Bakerloo for the same reason.

Overground disruption extended until 12pm

As a reminder, there are severe delays between Stratford and Richmond / Clapham Junction due to an earlier faulty train at Camden Road.

Overground services return to normal

Overground services are now running as usual after severe delays this morning impacted commuters between Stratford, Richmond and Clapham Junction.

Around 11am, National Rail said trains are able to run as normal following a broken down train earlier at Camden Road.

Southern and Thameslink services disrupted

Damage to the electric third rail between East Croydon and East Grinstead / Uckfield is causing disruption to trains running between these stations, National Rail says.

Trains which run via Oxted will be severely disrupted as follows:

– Between London Victoria and East Grinstead

These trains will instead run between London Victoria and East Croydon

– Between London Bridge and Uckfield

These trains will instead run between Uckfield and Oxted only

– Between East Grinstead and Bedford

These trains will be suspended until further notice

If you are travelling between East Croydon and Uckfield or East Grinstead, you will need to use an alternative route to reach your destination, and your journey may take up to 45 minutes longer than usual.

Southern and Thameslink disruption continues
