What’s on at Peckham Levels – South London News

Occupying a former multi-storey car park on Rye Lane since 2017, Peckham Levels is one of London’s most exciting venues to experience live music.

The bustling venue hosts live gigs and club nights from a 450-standing capacity to smaller, more low-key spaces.

With homegrown South London talent like Steam Down and Pinty, alongside emerging young Colombian rapper Verito Asprilla, Peckham Levels will host the best of the underground music and club scene over the next two months with ticket prices ranging from £4.50 to £11.50.

On April 25, the arts venue will host its monthly live jazz and hip hop session.

The house band on the night is made up of Leif Maine on guitar, Caspar Sutton-Jones on saxophone, Jaega McKenna-Gordon on drums and Tagara on bass. These artist have worked with the likes of Akala, Morcheeba and Greentea Peng. Special guests are to be confirmed.

All revenue made from the ticket sales goes back into funding for the monthly Jazz Sessions.

In May, Peckham Levels will celebrate its partnership with Laine Brew Co by throwing one hell of a party with Peckham’s own, Pinty.

The South London MC has put together a line-up of his current fave DJs, singers and producers for a night on May 4, showcasing the best the area has to offer.

Next up on May 11, there is a very special night of future Colombian sounds with two of the most exciting acts from the underground scene there.

This Saturday night will see young MC Verito Asprilla representing the Pacific coast with a fresh sound that encompasses Dancehall, Hip Hop and Amapiano alongside producer and Llorona Records boss Cerrero, whose live set mixes electronic dub and a futuristic roots sounds.

Joining them on the decks will be London Latinx torchbearer Bushbby as well as Movimientos regulars Amancai and Cal Jader.

Keeping up the international inspiration, on May 17, the Italian three-piece Torino Unlimited Noise (T.U.N.) who fuse jazz with techno will be joined by Australian sensation Dub FX to keep you moving all the way to 3am.
