When is the London Marathon taking place in April 2024?

Runners will have been preparing for months as they ready themselves to take part while raising thousands of pounds for charities.

Last year (2023) saw the London Marathon return to its usual slot of April after its normal schedule was forced to change due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Covid-19 pandemic saw the marathon move from April to October, seeing runners face autumnal weather rather than the normal spring conditions.

But now, the London Marathon is back in April and it’s only a few weeks away, so whether you’re running the 26 miles or heading down to show you’re support, find out when the London Marathon will be taking place.

The TCS London Marathon has been awarded the prestigious @WorldAthletics Heritage Plaque.

The plaque is awarded for an outstanding contribution to the worldwide history and development of the sport of track and field athletics and of out-of-stadia athletics disciplines.
