Last year major high street banks including Barclays, Lloyds and HSBC closed more than 450 branches across the UK.
In 2024 there has already been another 200 plus bank closures revealed (at the time of publication).

The Government has promised to introduce banking hubs across the UK with 40 opened so far in 2024 out of a planned 100 (roughly).
The facilities – run by the Post Office – have a counter service where customers of all main banks can withdraw and deposit cash, make bill payments, and carry out regular banking transactions, The Mirror explains.
