Easter 2024 egg hunts in south east London for the family

From egg hunts in farms to woodland trails, or whether you are looking for an indoor Easter egg to keep dry, we’ve put together a guide on all the egg hunts happening in south east London this Easter weekend:

Bexley

Easter Family Fun Eco Event

When? Saturday, March 30, 11am-3pm

Where? Belvedere Community Centre, Mitchell Close, Belvedere, DA17 6AA

How much? Free – no booking required

If you’re looking for a free day out in Bexley, Belvedere’s Community Centre will be hosting an Easter day with an egg hunt.

The event will include a host of indoor activities including a bouncy castle, craft activities, wreath making, cookery demonstrations and of course an egg hunt.

There will also be light refreshments served if you get peckish on the day.

Crayford Community Group Easter Event

When? Sunday, March 31, 10am-3pm

Where? Crayford Waterside Gardens

How much? Free

Located in the Waterside Gardens, this event will feature over 20 stalls, along with crafts, dance and choir performances and an Easter egg hunt.

Guests will have a chance to find the hidden egg posters at the event before revealing what the word spells out to receive an Easter egg prize.

Eggs are on a first come first served basis and there will also be a raffle with a range of prizes including £200 to spend at Specsavers.

Lesnes Abbey Easter Festival

When? Saturday, March 30, 11am-4pm

Where? Lesnes Abbey Woods, New Road, SE2 0AX

How Much? £4 for the Dino Easter Hunt, other activities free.

Returning for another year, Lesnes Abbey Easter Festival will be hosting a full itinerary of activities from magic shows, street food, a bouncy castle, Punch and Judy and an Easter egg hunt.

The Easter egg hunt will give little ones the chance to join Professor Anning studying dinosaur eggs, by visiting different dinosaur locations around the park and tracking their footprints before winning an egg as a prize.

Bromley

Beckenham Great Easter Egg Hunt

When? Good Friday, March 29, 10am-2pm

Where? Croydon Road Recreation Ground

How much? £4, including bag of Cadbury mini-eggs. Non-chocolate treats available on request.

Croydon Road Recreation Ground will be hosting an Easter fair with a range of Easter activities for the children including balloons, face painting and an Easter egg hunt.

The charity Easter egg hunt will take place over the park and will allow children to hunt for “treasure” for a chance to win a chocolate treat.

Unmask Cancer Charity Easter Egg Hunt

When? Sunday, March 31, 12pm-4pm

Where? Scrubs Farm, Lower Gravel Road, Bromley, BR2 8LL

How much? £6.13 for adults, £2.88 for Under 16s and £1.79 for Under 3s.

Scrubs Farm will be hosting an Easter event will a host of family fun activities including crafts, music, treats and an Easter egg hunt at 2pm.

There will also be a chance to make your own bath bomb with Lush Bromley for £3.50 as well as a bouncy castle. 

Alexandra Recreation Ground – Easter In The Park

When? Saturday, March 30, 2pm-4pm

Where? Alexandra Recreation Ground, Alexandra Road, SE26 5ND

How much? Free

The Friends of Cator and Alexandra Recreation Ground will be hiding Easter painted rocks on the Cator Road side of Alexandra Recreation Ground, for children to find and exchange for a chocolate Easter egg.

Hoblingwell Easter Hunt

When? Saturday, March 30, 1pm-4pm

Where? Hoblingwell Wood Recreation Ground, Leesons Way, BR5 2QB

How much? £3

The Hoblingwell Easter Hunt will take you and the family on a woodland nature trail where you’ll have a chance to find Easter eggs before winning a prize.

Hollydale Open Space – Easter Egg Trail

When? Easter Monday, April 1, 3pm-5pm

Where? Hollydale Open Space, Kemble Drive, BR2 8QG

How much? Free

If you’re looking for a fun few hours to spend on Easter Monday, head over to Hollydale where you’ll have the chance to visit the park for an Easter egg hunt, by finding the hidden letters scattered around the park in exchange for a chocolate egg.

Whitehall Recreation Ground – Easter Egg Hunt

When? Saturday, March 30, 1pm-3pm

Where? Children’s Play Area in Whitehall Recreation Ground, 160 Southlands Road, Bromley, BR2 9QY

How much? Free

This family event will feature an Easter egg hunt, along with food and drink stalls and a tombola for a chance to win a prize.

Greenwich

Long Jane JFC – Easter Eggstravaganza

When? Saturday, March 30, 12:30pm

Where? Long Lane JFC, Kidbrooke Playing Fields, Dursley Road, Blackheath, SE3 8PB

How much? £2 per child.

On Saturday Long Lane JFC will be hosting an Easter event with an Easter bonnet parade, Easter egg hunt and market stalls.

Woodland Farm Trust – Egg-cellent Easter Trail

When? Good Friday, March 29, 10am-2pm

Where? The Woodlands Farm Trust, 331 Shooters Hill, Welling, DA16 3RP

How much? £3 per child. No booking required, just drop in.

Located at Woodlands Farm in Shooters Hill, guests will have the chance to search for Easter pictures around the farm whilst visiting the animals before claiming a prize.

Lewisham

Perry Hill Pub – Easter Egg Hunt

When? Saturday, March 30, hour-long slots available from 12pm, 12:30pm and 1pm.

Where? Perry Hill Pub, 78-80 Perry Hill, London, SE6 4EY

How much? £2.50 (bookable online)

The event will be hosted in the pub garden with children having the chance to take away an Easter egg.
