Arsenal have been handed an incredibly busy fixture schedule ahead of next month’s North London derby, which will be a big test of their title aspirations.
On April 28th, Arsenal face the prospect of a game away to fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur, in a game that could have huge ramifications for the outcome of the Premier League title race.
But the Gunners have been dealt a blow before the game has even kicked off, with the revelation that Tottenham will have 15 days without a game ahead of the North London derby, offering the Lilywhites plenty of time for rest and recuperation.
During this time, Arsenal will have to play a staggering four games, including a UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg away to Bayern Munich, and another London derby, this time against Chelsea.

The North London derby is widely regarded as one of the fiercest in England, but the prospect of a burnt out Arsenal side, owing to their busy schedule, could put a dampener on the occasion.
Mikel Arteta has previously criticised the Premier League, rather sarcastically, over the issue of fixture congestion, like when he infamously said: “Thank you so much to the Premier League to do that,” back in 2022.
While this will undoubtedly be a source of real frustration for the title hopefuls, the return of several previously injured Arsenal stars, like Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu among others, could provide much-needed cover and rotation ahead of such a busy and decisive period for the North Londoners.
