Former head of RMG Connect, Meera Sharath Chandra (pictured) has been appointed to the role of managing director for Syzygy’s London office. Syzygy is a WPP owned digital agency, with offices in Germany and London. Chandra will be leading the London operations of the agency.
Confirming the development, Marco Seiler, CEO, Syzygy told Campaign India, “We are delighted to have Meera on board. We believe she brings an exceptional blend of creative and management skills to the table, with 25 years of experience in the industry. She has worked with some of the biggest agencies in India and has been a judge at Cannes as well.”
Speaking to Campaign India, Chandra said, “Since I will be heading the UK operations of the agency, my mandate will be to grow the business and improve the creative product so that we are known as a regular and consistent award winning agency. There are five different units of the Syzygy Group. This includes two acquisitions that they made, namely, Hi-Res and Unique, as well as their two offices in Germany in Frankfurt and Hamburg, besides the London office. The focus for the group now will be in ensuring that these five units work cohesively together.”
The UK operations has a strength of 83 employees while the group itself has a strength of around 300 employees. Some of Sygyzy’s clients include Mazda, Orange, HSBC, De Beers and Sky.
