Olives and Meze received a Highly Commended award for the category of Best Takeaway in London at the British Kebab Awards 2024.
The restaurant was up against North London-based restaurant Archway Kebab which was named as the winner of the award this year.
The British Kebab Awards, in association with Just Eat, celebrates the best of local kebab takeaways and restaurants in the UK.
There were 20 award categories ranging from Best Greek Restaurant and Chef of the Year to Best Takeaway and Best Restaurant.
This year marked the 12th awards ceremony, with 17 finalists named in south London across 10 categories.
The business first opened its doors in 2014 serving handmade and authentic Mediterranean dishes, inspired by the “vibrant flavours” of the Mediterranean.
The menu includes popular dishes such as Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Halloumi fries, and mixed grill options.
Since first opening a decade ago the business has three branches in Soho, Tooting and Clapham.
The restaurant has scored a 4.4-star Google rating based on 689 reviews, with diners rating the restaurant on account of its portion sizes and halloumi dishes.
