East London: Images released after ‘corrosive liquid’ thrown at two boys at Tube station | UK News

Police have released two images as part of an investigation after a suspected corrosive substance was thrown over two boys in a London Tube station.

The boys were reported to have a liquid thrown at them at Elm Park station in east London at just after 8pm on Saturday.

They were taken to hospital but it is believed their injuries are not life-threatening or changing.

A search for those responsible is under way and British Transport Police have released CCTV of three people who they want to speak to.

One of them is a woman with long brown hair, who is seen walking along a train platform with a white top and holding a puffer jacket.

Beside her is a person with a black face covering, wearing a baseball cap and a black puffer jacket, while another image shows them approaching barriers with a man in a black jacket.

“We are really keen to speak to the people in the images, or anyone else who witnessed the incident, as we believe they have information which could help our investigation,” he added.

“If you know them or have any information that might help, please get in touch.”

The incident comes a little less than a month after Abdul Ezedi sparked a nationwide manhunt when he was alleged to have thrown a corrosive chemical over a mum in south London.

Ezedi’s body was recovered from the River Thames last week following a huge search operation.
