Met Office north London forecast: Yellow rain warning issued

The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning from 3pm tomorrow (February 25) until Monday morning for London and the south east of England.

Widespread downpours are expected, with between 15mm and 25mm of rain forecasted, rising up to 40mm for some areas.

Wind gusts are also expected to exceed 40mph at around midday on Monday.

Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said: “We are keeping an eye on this area of low pressure as it moves into southern counties of England and Wales over the course of Sunday and into Monday.

“It will bring some heavy rain and some strong winds as well. This rain is falling on saturated ground and could lead to some localised flooding problems.”
