Henrique Silva made a fantastic save as Bishop’s Stortford held on to triumph 31-30 at West London Eagles II.
The goalkeeper’s late heroics ensured the visitors won and finished the Regional South East League season in fourth place – a solid effort for the rebuilt squad.
David Robalo took up the coaching position for the first time due to unavailability and saw Stortford build an 18-15 half-time lead at Brunel University.

The second period was much closer as fatigue set in for the visitors, but they took a one-goal advantage in the final few minutes.
Silva then pulled off a tremendous stop, throwing the ball out of bounds, as Stortford dug deep to see out the victory in the frantic closing stages.
James Garrett top-scored with 12 goals while man-of-the-match Ali Mountassir netted 11 times.
There were also five goals for Alex Lyons, two for Mirradoor Mulonso and one for Alfa Balde.
The team now has a friendly organised and three tournaments before ending the campaign with a beach handball competition in Bournemouth.
