A brand spanking new festival is hitting London this summer that will be bringing together epic techno artists, art and architecture for a three-day funfest full of culture and music.

High Lights will be launching at Barking Park from Friday May 31 until Sunday June 2 for a huge festival that organisers have said to be “part art installation, part architectural performance arena” and “like nothing ever seen in a London park before”.

Some names on the lineup have already been confirmed; expect Max Cooper to showcasing his latest audiovisual production, Actress, Calibre, Mia Koden, Logic1000, Ross From Friends, and Kelly Lee Owens to grace the stages on May 31. The Saturday and Sunday lineups are yet to be announced, although Carl Cox has been confirmed to headline on June 1 and the Fuse Open Air party taking place on June 2. More names will be announced in the coming weeks.

Art and architecture-wise, the UK-based design studio Lucid Creates will be taking charge of creating the temporary stages and art spaces having previously built some pretty spectacular installations at Glastonbury, Vivid Sydney, and Wembley Stadium.

High Lights organisers said in documents sent to the Barking and Dagenham council: “We have partnered with Lucid Creates, who will produce and operate the installation, which consists of a giant fully programmable custom-built lighting concept hanging just beneath the treeline. This will create an immersive natural space like nothing ever seen in a London park before.

“Set into the wooded gardens of Barking Park, High Lights will be a unique performance installation designed to showcase artists in the most dramatic of settings with 7000 people, plus 1000 crew and guestlist per day in attendance.”
