Woman, 34, arrested after man, in 40s, ‘stabbed’ outside busy Enfield primary school at pick-up time – The Sun

A WOMAN has been arrested after a man in his 40s was stabbed outside a primary school during pick-up time.

Police rushed to Capel Manor Primary School in Enfield, North London, following reports of “a man stabbed” at 3.15pm on Tuesday.

The victim was rushed to hospital from the scene, where his condition is said to not be life-threatening.

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.

The school is understood to have been placed under a precautionary lockdown as emergency services rushed to the scene.

Pupils are said to have been stuck in the school until 4.30pm following the incident involving two adults.

Children were reportedly left “shaken and upset” as they waited inside.

One mum wrote on Facebook: “Our kids were stuck inside for over an hour. It’s so disgusting. My daughter was so shaken up and upset.”

Another said: “Our kids was stuck in their classrooms until nearly half four.”

However, no students or staff were involved in the incident, police say.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman added: “Police were called at approximately 3.15pm on Tuesday to reports of a man stabbed at a school in Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in his 40s, suffering a stab injury – he was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.

“A 34-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.

“No pupils or staff at the school were involved in this incident. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
