North Cray Road Bexley incident: Person rushed to hospital

The incident happened in North Cray Road just after 2.20pm today (February 7).

An ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a clinical team manager from the London Ambulance Service attended.

The person was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where their condition is unknown.

The nature of the incident is also currently unknown.

North Cray Road both ways between Vicarage Road and The Garden Centre remains closed, according to AA.

Bus route 492 is also on diversion.

We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for further information.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.23pm today (7 February) to reports of an incident on North Cray Road, Bexley

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager.

“We treated a patient at the scene before taking them to hospital as a priority.”

The full AA maps statement says: “Road closed and delays due to emergency services incident on A223 North Cray Road both ways between A2018 Vicarage Road and The Garden Centre. “Detour in operation – bus Route Affected: 492.”
