Bob Geldof, 72, embraces his daughters Tiger Lily Hutchence, 27, and Fifi Trixibelle, 40, as they enjoy lunch at a French eatery in Chelsea

Bob Geldof was seen enjoying a family lunch with his daughters Tiger Lily Hutchence and Fifi Trixibelle at a swanky French eatery in Chelsea on Thursday.

The Boomtown Rats frontman, 72, cut a casual figure as he left the Colbert Restaurant in west London.

After leaving the family lunch, Bob was seen embracing his eldest daughter Fifi before they parted ways.

Fifi, 40, who works in PR, opted for a cosy blue roll neck jumper teamed with a brown coat as she bid farewell to her father.

Tiger Lily, 27, who was adopted by Bob after the death of her father Michael Hutchence in 1997, opted for a low-key blue zipped bomber jacket.

The group were also joined by Tiger Lily’s new boyfriend, model Ben Archer.

Bob married TV presenter Paula Yates in 1986, and together the couple had three daughters, Fifi, Pixie, 33, and Peaches before divorcing in 1996.

But the singer met French actress Jeanne Marine at a dinner party in 1996, where the singer had fled in a fit of depression over his divorce from his first wife.

They quickly became inseparable, though remained tight-lipped about their romance, moving in together in London.

Bob has credited Jeanne with helping him to raise his daughters, Fifi, Pixie, Peaches, as well as his adoptive daughter, Tiger-Lilly – and previously said his children ‘wouldn’t have survived’ without her.

He has even paid tribute to her through his music, and in his song 10:15 from his 2002 album Sex Age & Death, Bob sang: ‘Jeanne saved my soul again last night’.

And when the family tragically lost Peaches in 2014, the Live Aid founder days later proposed to Jeanne – a moment which he said ‘brought air into the room’ when Fifi and Pixie were ‘in agony.’

The French actress met her future husband for the first time briefly in 1990 when he was recording The Vegetarians Of Love LP.

Bob told Irish Independent he was immediately struck by her beauty, saying: ‘She was going out with an actor. I thought she was a staggering beauty, Brigitte Bardot.’

However it wasn’t till six years later that Bob and Jeanne began dating after meeting at a dinner party in Paris.

He explained: ‘[Some friends] gave me the dinner to help me out and invited Jeanne. ‘He’s on his own; you’re single.’ That was the sort of match-making thing, I guess. She is a really lovely person. She enabled me to take care of my children.’

In 2000, when Bob’s ex-wife Paula died of a heroin overdose, it was he and Jeanne who took in her daughter Tiger-Lily.

Tiger Lily, who was then four, already knew the Boomtown Rats star well, having regularly stayed with him when Paula was struggling in the years after her partner Michael Hutchence’s death.

Geldof became Tiger’s legal guardian and officially adopted her in 2007, determined to raise her far from the showbusiness spotlight.

However it was also Jeanne’s influence which helped support Tiger through the difficult period.

Gerry Agar previously told The Daily Mail: ‘Tiger was totally raised and totally loved by Bob’s wife Jeanne, so she has such stability.

‘They have been very strict with her and Tiger is incredibly unlike Peaches. She wants to please them.’

Paying tribute to his wife in 2012, Geldof said: ‘I adore Jeanne. You look around among the carnage and you are still standing.

‘And there is this exceptional and beautiful woman there — and I don’t just mean physically, though she is stunning.”

Speaking of her admiration for her partner in a previous interview, Jeanne said: ‘I liked his elegance and his Irishness.

‘Bob is exactly the kind of man I’ve always been waiting for. He’s compassionate, charming, intelligent and, on top of that, good-looking. He’s the most handsome man in the world and I adore him.’

In 2014, the family were struck by further tragedy when Peaches tragically died of a heroin overdose at her home in Kent.

She left behind her two sons Astala and Phaedra and husband Thomas Cohen.

It was mere days after her funeral that Bob proposed to Jeanne.

Revealing the happy news at the time, Jerry Hall, a pal of the pair, told the Mail: ‘Bob has proposed. She is over the moon. Jeanne has been a rock and a tower of strength over this. I’m so excited for her I am bursting to tell someone.’

The couple were believed to have been originally planning to walk down the aisle at St Mary Magdalene & St Lawrence Church near their home in Faversham, Kent for its importance to the family.

The chapel is where Bob wed Paula Yates in 1986, where his daughter Peaches married Thomas Cohen in 2012, and where the tragic socialite was buried.

Instead, Bob wed his partner of 19 years Jeanne in the South of France in 2015. The Irish rocker and French actress tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Rayol Canadel Sur Mer.
