The list was created by some of the UK’s ‘top chefs’ including José Pizarro, Santiago Lastra, and Mark Wogan.
Nine London restaurants made it onto the list, with two of them being in the south west of the capital.
The restaurants were the Harwood Arms and Canton Arms:
Harwood Arms
The Harwood Arms in Fulham is described by the head chef at Marle at Heckfield Place, Frederick Page as “slightly upmarket” but still offering “really good food”.
The Harwood is currently the only Michelin-starred pub in London and aims to “champion the very best British produce.”
Their Sunday roast menu includes the likes of a Slow Cooked Fallow Deer Shoulder and with bacon, honey, and a mustard glaze, as well as Loin and Jowl of Cumbrian Pork with apple sauce, and apple parfaits as desserts.
A Google reviewer said: “Delicious Sunday roast!
“Definitely superior to most I’ve had in the UK!
“The roast, cod roe dip, malt bread and onion tart were delightful!”
The Harwood Arms is open from 5:30pm to 9:15pm from Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 2pm and then 5:30pm to 9:15pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12pm to 8:15pm on Sunday.
Canton Arms
Canton Arms made it to the 16th place on the list.
The Canton Arms, on 177 South Lambeth Street, SW8 1XP, has a separate Sunday menu with a variety of options.
One thing on their Sunday menu is rare roast Dexter beef, green beans, roasties and watercress, and for dessert a Seville orange marmalade & chocolate bread and butter pudding on top of others.
One happy Google reviewer said: “Another delicious supper at Canton Arms.
“This is our favourite local eatery – fresh, seasonal food, always yummy.
“And excellent bread, fait maison, every day.
“Friendly, efficient service.
“Just so you know – the atmosphere is generally lively and quite loud, so if you’re looking for a romantic dinner tête-à-tête, look elsewhere!”
The Canton Arms are open 5pm to 11pm on Monday, 11am to 11pm on Tuesday through Saturday, and 11am to 9pm on Sunday.
