Millwall agree loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur defender – South London News

Millwall are set to sign Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga on loan until the end of the season.

The Lions have moved quickly in the last week to secure the 24-year-old’s services.

Tanganga could link up with Joe Edwards’ squad for training tomorrow.

The Hackney-born player has been capped at multiple levels by England at junior level, including at U21 level.

Tanganga had joined Bundesliga side Augsburg with an option to buy but his stay in Germany has been cut short.

His style of play is set to go down a storm with Millwall fans as he told The Telegraph in 2021 how he bring aggression to his game.

Tanganga told them: “Great players, their talent can really hurt you. So my strategy is to make sure I get after him. Don’t give him any time, don’t give him the opportunity to get the head up and pass because he has the quality to do that.”

He has made more than 50 appearances for Tottenham and has been on their books since the age of 10.
