Police are hunting a man who tried to push a woman in front of a London Underground train.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses to the “attempted murder” at Leicester Square station, which happened on Monday 6 November at around 3.30pm.
British Transport Police said the victim was waiting on a platform when she saw the attacker arguing with an elderly man.
He then walked over to her, grabbed her arm and began dragging her.
She managed to briefly struggle free but, as a train pulled into the busy London station, he grabbed her arm again.
The man then “began pushing her towards the tracks,” police said.
The woman was saved by two other passengers who intervened and pulled her away from the attacker.

The suspect escaped by boarding the train, it is believed.
The man is described as being in his late 20s and has a muscular build. He was wearing a beige scarf over his head and a short puffer jacket.
Police urged anyone who saw what happened, including those who intervened, to contact them.
