BREAKING NEWS: Police rush to shooting in Walworth

Police rushed to Walworth today and found a man believed to be in his late 40s suffering from a ‘gunshot injury’.

This is the second serious incident in Southwark today, after a man died of stab injuries in Southwark Park in what is believed to be a separate incident.

The Met confirmed they were called to an address where they found a man with a gunshot injury.

A police spokesperson confirmed: “Officers were called at 12:20hrs on Wednesday, 31 October to a residential address in Mina Road, SE17.

“A man, believed to be in his late 40s, was found at the scene with a suspected gunshot injury.

“London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance have attended.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”

Witnesses report seeing the Air Ambulance trying to land in Surrey Square gardens.

The man’s condition is not currently known.
