Team Sports launches go-karting venue in South London – South London News

A new go-karting venue has opened in South London mixing gaming with racing for a unique experience.

The UK’s largest indoor go karting company,  launched the venue in Mitcham.

The track combines “cutting edge, augmented reality” with battle racing.

Players over the age of 13 can now burn rubber around a real-world circuit as their kart interacts with other players and in-game power-ups as well as any challenges rival players might throw their way.

You can compete for a place on the podium at the close of the game by collecting and using boosts and bonuses to get yourself over the finish line as fast as possible.

Using some of the latest technology, the karts produce realistic sensations and reactions that bring competitors into the “high-energy thrill ride”.

A Team Sports spokesman said: “With no physical obstacles on the track it’s possible to use guile and strategy to drive with skill while also managing the power-ups and weapons that will be visible on the unique screen located on the kart itself.

“If you’re looking for a casual race or a high-stakes competition, Combat Karts has something for everyone and is brilliant for groups, whether it’s a family, works outing or just a bunch of friends.”
