Two men accused of kidnapping and murdering a Turkish DJ have appeared in court today.
Kyrie Mitchell-Peart, 31, and Isay Stoyanov, 43, allegedly ambushed Koray Alpergin, 43, and his girlfriend Gozde Dalbudak, 34, outside his north London home and bundled them into a van.
The pair were then held at the Stadium Lounge restaurant near Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium before Mr Alpergin was killed on October 14, 2022.
A post-mortem found evidence that he had been beaten with a baseball bat, scalded with boiling water and had the soles of his feet stabbed, while there was also bruising to his genitals.
His naked burned body was eventually dumped in woodland in Loughton, Essex, before it was found by a dog walker.

Ms Dalbudak, who has since returned to her home in Turkey, recalled her boyfriend telling her ‘my love, don’t be scared’ and ‘sorry, my love’ before he cried out in pain as he was beaten.
The father-of-two was the owner of Turkish radio station Bizim FM and had connections with celebrities such as rapper P Diddy and Salt Bae.
Mitchell-Peart and Stoyanov are charged with murder, two counts of kidnap and two counts of false imprisonment.
The pair appeared at the Old Bailey today via video link from HMP Belmarsh. Stoyanov was assisted by a Turkish interpreter.
Mitchell-Peart, of Grange View Road, Whetstone, and Stoyanov, of Remington Road, Tottenham, were remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing on 22 February.
Their trial was provisionally set for 1 July.
