Premier Inn Orpington stabbing: Ambulance service update

Two teens were found injured outside the Premier Inn Hotel just after 11.30pm yesterday (June 28).

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance were called to the scene.

Two ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and members of the tactical response unit also attended.

The teens were treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.

One of them remains in a critical condition.

Two 17-year-old girls were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

They are currently in police custody.

A crime scene remains in place as officers continue to carry out enquiries.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.33pm yesterday (28 June) to reports of an incident at The Premier Inn, Orpington.

“We sent numerous resources to the scene, including two ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our tactical response unit.

“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.

“We treated two patients for injuries at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 23:34hrs on Wednesday, 28 June to reports of a stabbing near to a hotel on The Walnuts, Orpington.

“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended. Two men, both believed to be in their late teens, were found with stab injuries.

“The two men were taken to hospital where one man remains in a critical condition.

“A crime scene remains in place at the location as officers continue to carry out enquiries.

“Two girls, both aged 17, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and are currently in police custody.”
