Smirnoff and Sink The Pink are set to host a party in south London as part of a mission to “reignite” social connections.

Through the WE DO US campaign, Smirnoff will focus on lowering barriers to socialising and breaking boundaries to bring people together.

The UK launch will focus on accessibility and supporting the Disabled community in clubs, bars, and pubs.

WE DO US Live launches on Wednesday, November 29, as nightlife icons Sink The Pink reform for one night only at 26 Leake Street.

The event is free and will run from 8pm until 12am; 75 winners will be contacted on email on Monday (November 27) at 6pm.

The night will see various measures taken to ensure accessibility such as Quiet Rooms, British Sign Language performers, inclusive furniture, and trained staff.

Hosted by comedian Fats Timbo and actor Layton Williams, the night will be packed with Sink the Pink style including Eurovision star Mae Muller, internationally acclaimed drag troupe of Queens and Kings with Down syndrome, Drag Syndrome, Grammy & BRIT award-winning singer-songwriter Kamille, whilst on the decks pop icon Spice Girl Melanie C, Lou Bru and DJ Jonbers Blonde will keep the vibe going.

There are over 12 million adults living in the UK with a Disability.

Research has shown that three out of four Disabled people have been left disappointed or have had to abandon night-time plans because of poor accessibility .

This causes businesses £2 billion of lost revenue per month.

There is an immediate need to put best practices in place to create real, meaningful solutions.

“Viewing accessibility not merely as a measure of compliance, but one of community so Disabled people can be who they are, as they are.”

Glyn Fussell, co-founder of Sink the Pink and Mighty Hoopla, said: “I know what it’s like to feel invisible which is why I will always champion ways to help reposition people’s minds about what can be achieved and created in spaces for people to find their joy and have fun.

“I am here for every opportunity that removes barriers so that you can be your most fabulous self.

“Large-scale events are needed more than ever, as people look for more collective joy, and we need to make them accessible for everyone, which is why I am delighted to work with Smirnoff for such an important campaign.”

Violeta Andreeva, Category Marketing Director, Vodka, Rum and RTD at Diageo said: “Smirnoff is on a mission to bring people together and having met the Tilting the Lens team and learning about all the barriers faced by Disabled people to come together, we knew we had to do more as a brand and believe a lot can be achieved together.

“We’re incredibly proud to join forces with Tilting the Lens and work together on some exciting activity, which we can’t wait to share with everyone.”

The event’s co-host comedian Fats Timbo, who creates content to challenge society’s perceptions about Disabled people, said: “I am beyond thrilled to be co-hosting such an incredible night with Smirnoff WE DO US Live.

“We have got such an amazing line-up for what we hope will be a night to remember.

“It’s so important to have inclusive events like this, where everyone can enjoy themselves and really live life to the full together.”
