The information comes from their latest yearly dataset (BUSTO 2022/23) showing bus demand in November 2022, usually the busiest time.
They took the average of several weekdays from that period to represent a typical weekday.
TfL calculated bus occupancy by dividing the total load by the total capacity each hour, identifying the busiest hour.
They also revealed where this peak bus occupancy happens.
