Thameslink south London changes and closures in London this week

This week planned works taking place in London will close some lines between Monday morning and Sunday evening.

Services running between Brighton and Peterborough will be affected due to engineering works taking place between Monday and Friday.

On Sunday, most Thameslink trains will not stop at London Bridge and will be diverted via Selhurst.

Here’s a full roundup of all the Thameslink changes happening this week:

Monday, November 6 – Friday, November 10

From today (Monday), there will be changes to the Thameslink between Brighton, Horsham, Three Bridges, Gatwick Airport and Luton, Bedford, Cambridge and Peterborough.

Engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Earlswood, closing some lines.

From 10.45pm until 5.25am each morning, trains will be unable to call at Earlswood and Salfords.

Rail replacement bus services will run between Horley and Redhill to connect with services.

Saturday, November 11

The 11.11 Thameslink train from Horsham to Peterborough will be affected by engineering work.

The work is taking place between Hitchin and Peterborough – the train will terminate at Hitchin.

A replacement bus will run from Hitchin to Peterborough.

Saturday, November 11- Sunday, November 12

Engineering work is taking place between Cricklewood and Harpenden, closing some lines.

From approximately 11.15 until the end of service on Saturday evening, trains will run to a revised timetable between Cricklewood and Harpenden.

The 9.16pm Sutton to St Albans City train will terminate at West Hampstead Thameslink.

Sunday, November 12

Engineering work is taking place between London Bridge and East Croydon, closing some lines.

All day on Sunday, most Thameslink trains will be diverted via Selhurst and will not call at London Bridge.

Trains between Kentish Town and Rainham and between London Bridge and Brighton / Horsham will still run via and call at London Bridge, at a reduced frequency.

Thameslink trains running between London Blackfriars and East Croydon via Selhurst will also run to a reduced frequency timetable.

Journey times will be extended due to the diversion via Selhurst.

Trains between Luton and Wimbledon / Sutton will run on their usual booked routes, but at a reduced frequency.

Rail tickets will be accepted on London Underground services between

• Westminster and London Bridge (Jubilee line).

• Westminster and Blackfriars (Circle / District lines).

• Kings Cross St Pancras and Elephant & Castle (Northern line).
