There is reportedly a heavy police presence in Walthamstow, with High Street, Hoe Street and Church Hill closed off after an incident this evening (November 5).
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Waltham Forest Council said: “Please avoid the area if you can.”
We have been informed that there are several road closures following an incident this evening in E17.
The roads highlighted in yellow are currently closed (High Street, Hoe Street and Church Hill.)

It is understood that the reported police investigation stems from something which took place at Church Hill.
However the Metropolitan Police have not shared any more information about what has happened at this time. The force has been approached for information.
Meanwhile the bus 212 is being diverted from the area due to the closures.
