Nine stabbed in horror month across south London

This only includes stabbings that Newsquest south London is aware of and has reported on in October.

The month saw a string of attacks in Sidcup, Croydon, Lewisham, Abbey Wood, Elephant and Castle, Brixton and Sutton.   

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police. 

Boy, 15, taken to hospital after stabbing in Lewisham

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Lewisham.

The incident happened in Sevenoaks Road at 11am on October 21.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

His condition was assessed as not life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries are ongoing.

Man, 19, taken to hospital after stabbing at park in Beckenham

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Beckenham.

The incident happened at Beckenham Place Park just after 3.20pm on October 10.

The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

Man stabbed in neck in Abbey Wood ‘attempted murder’ attack

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck in Abbey Wood.

The incident happened in Eynsham Drive at 10.48pm on October 24.

The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening.

Police are dealing with the incident as attempted murder.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries are ongoing.

Two arrests and man in hospital after double stabbing in Elephant and Castle

A man was found injured and another was admitted to hospital after a double stabbing in Elephant and Castle.

The incident happened in Elephant Road just after 5.50am on October 22.

Officers were called to the scene and found one man with a minor injury.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.

They have been taken into police custody.

A short time later, a man admitted himself to hospital where his condition was assessed as non life threatening.

Police enquiries are ongoing.

Boy, 17, taken to hospital after stabbing in Sidcup

A 17-year-old boy was admitted to hospital after a stabbing in Sidcup.

The boy admitted himself to a south London hospital just before 3pm on October 10.

His condition was assessed as not life threatening.

It is believed that he sustained his injuries a short time earlier in Chislehurst Road in Sidcup.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a stabbing at a park in Croydon.

The incident happened at Lloyds Park at 1.05am on October 3.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a boy injured.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquires continue.

Man, 22, dies after stabbing in Brixton

A 22-year-old man has died after a stabbing in Brixton.

Keelen Morris Wong was found injured in Coldharbour Lane at around 4.44pm on October 3.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident.

Man, 42, dies after stabbing in Sutton

A 42-year-old man has died after a stabbing in Sutton.

Luke Blackmore was found injured in Typhoon Way at 2pm on October 2.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident.

A 44-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.

She has been released on bail while investigations progress.
