A 19-year-old Indian woman, believed to have recently arrived in the UK, was found to stabbed to death at a residential property.
In the Croydon area of south London, a 23-year-old man, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He was subsequently hospitalized for a minor head injury.
The Metropolitan Police responded to a call at a residence on Ash Tree Wayduring Sunday afternoon.There, they discovered the body of the 19-year-old woman, bearing stab wounds.
In an official statement, the Met disclosed, “The woman is believed to be an Indian national who is thought to have arrived in the United Kingdom relatively recently. Officers are working diligently to locate and notify her family.”
The police have clarified that there are no other individuals being pursued in connection with the ongoing murder investigation.
