Jodie Comer ‘to count Harry Styles and Ricky Gervais as her neighbours after moving out of parents’ home and snapping up lavish London property’

Jodie Comer has reportedly snapped up a lavish property in North London’s Hampstead where she will count stars such as Harry Styles and Ricky Gervais as her neighbours.

The actress, 30, was recently living in Childwall, Liverpool, where she spent the pandemic with her parents James and Donna.

But the Killing Eve star is now branching out on her own despite loving her time living with her family.

A source told the Mirror: ‘Jodie is incredibly close to her family but she decided she wants her own place. Now she has taken the plunge and moved out.

‘She fell in love with a place in Hampstead and is enjoying making it her own.’

Jodie previously said she’d happily live with her parents for many years to come after, admitting back in 2020 that she simply didn’t want to move out of their home.

She told The Sunday Times: ‘I’d live with my mum and dad till I was old and grey if I could.

‘[But] I’m definitely looking to move out. I recognise I need my own space and independence. I just don’t want to do it.

She clarified her bedroom ‘doesn’t still have a single bed and Winnie-the-Pooh wallpaper’ but she loved feasting on her mother’s home cooking.

It comes after Jodie sparked rumours of a split from her American boyfriend James Burke this summer, after more than three years together.

She met her partner, 29 – who works in tech and ‘isn’t in the public eye at all’ – at a party in summer 2019 while shooting Free Guy alongside Ryan Reynolds in Boston.

And despite coming together shortly before the pandemic, the actress made no secret of her feelings at the time, revealing her romance marked the first time ever that she’d been in love.

But it appears the pair have gone their separate ways.

Jodie – who recently picked up the Lead Actress gong at the Tony Awards for her one-woman play Prima Facie – failed to give any mention of her lacrosse playing boyfriend.

The pair have also not been pictured together for three years.

A source told The Sun: ‘Jodie and James were really loved up for a while, but they’re in different parts of the world. She’s at a really exciting time in her career and putting all the opportunities coming her way first.

‘All of her hard work over the years is paying off. She’s looking forward to her future.’

Last week, Jodie attended the Tony Awards at United Palace in New York City with her brother Charlie and thanked ‘family and friends’ in her acceptance speech — with no mention of James.

She also won an Olivier award in April and attended the ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall with family. But again, there was no sign of James.

Prior to that she went once again without her beau to the WhatsOnStage Awards in February and the Bafta TV awards last year in London.

MailOnline contacted Jodie’s spokesperson for comment.

Their relationship was not without rocky waters – with ‘tricky’ long distance and backlash after James’ alleged political affiliations revealed he was a registered Republican voter.

Some fans criticised Jodie at the time for dating James after jumping to the conclusion ‘without any evidence’ that he must be a Trump supporter, calling for her to be ‘cancelled’.

Appearing on the cover of January’s InStyle’s issue in 2019, the Killing Eve star determinedly slammed ‘the absurdity’ of the accusations and insisted she refused to respond to claims that he supports POTUS for the sake of ‘her health’.

She said: ‘It was really shocking. It was the first time I had ever been dragged into something like that. And it wasn’t just me; it was my family…

‘I had seen the absurdity of what I was being accused of, and what my partner was being accused of… I decided for my own health that I was not going to try and convince these people otherwise. I just wasn’t going to do it.’
