11 stabbed in horror month across south London

This only includes stabbings that Newsquest south London is aware of and has reported on in September.

The month saw a string of attacks in Thornton Heath, Biggin Hill, Petts Wood, Bexleyheath, Bromley, Walworth, Croydon, and Earlsfield.

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police. 

Man in his 20s taken to hospital after stabbing in Thornton Heath

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Thornton Heath.

The incident happened in High Street, Thornton Heath just before 3.20pm on September 17.

His condition was assessed as non life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

Man, 24, taken to hospital after stabbing in Biggin Hill

A 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Biggin Hill.

The incident happened in Main Road at 5.20pm on September 10.

His injuries were assessed as non life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Man, 19, dies after stabbing at park in Petts Wood

A 19-year-old man has died after a stabbing at a park in Petts Wood.

Max Moy Wheatley was found injured in Jubilee Park near Tent Peg Lane at around 2.30pm on September 20.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Two men, aged 19 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Teenage boy taken to hospital after stabbing in Bexleyheath

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Bexleyheath. 

The incident happened in Broadway at around 6.50pm on September 6. 

His condition was assessed as non life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue. 

Two people in hospital after double stabbing in Bromley shop

Two people have been taken to hospital after a double stabbing inside a shop in Bromley.

Police were called to reports of a man causing a disturbance in Burnt Ash Lane at 3.35pm on September 11.

The suspect reportedly left the shop and returned a short time later before assaulting two people.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found the pair with stab injuries.

Their conditions were assessed as non life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon.

The incident happened in Barclay Road at around 2.25pm on September 25.

He was taken hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. 

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

Girl, 15, dies after stabbing in Croydon

A 15-year-old girl has died after a stabbing in Croydon.

Elianne Andam was found injured in Wellesley Road at 8.30am on September 27.

She was pronounced dead at the scene just after 9.20am.

A 17-year-old boy, who was known to Elianne, was arrested in New Addington.

He was charged with murder and possession of a knife and is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on September 29.

Schoolboy, 13, stabbed in Earlsfield

A 13-year-old schoolboy has been stabbed in Earlsfield.

The incident happened in Smallwood Road at 3.30pm on September 27. 

His injuries were assessed as non life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon.

The incident happened in College Road at 3.30am on September 29.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as potentially life-changing.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

Girl, 13, arrested after woman in her 20s stabbed in Walworth home

A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after a woman in her 20s was stabbed in a home in Walworth.

The incident happened in Gaitskell House, Villa Street, at around 10.30am on September 12.

She was taken to hospital for treatment where her condition was assessed as not life threatening.

A 13-year-old girl was arrested at a nearby address on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
