The seasonal spectacular also features Empire regular Kat B as the Genie, Natasha Lewis as Abby-na-zaaar, Fred Double as Aladdin, and George Heyworth of cabaret duo Bourgeois & Maurice as Mildew Funk.
For the third year running Rowe directs the family friendly show, which sees Aladdin take a magic carpet ride as he tries to find love and make his fortune. When he discovers an enchanted lamp and meets a mysterious genie, it looks like all his wishes are going to come true, but will the forces of evil stand in his way?
Running for 24 years, The Empire’s seasonal show is now a much-anticipated fixture of London’s Christmas calendar, blending huge song and dance numbers, contemporary gags, lavish sets and costumes, with centuries old panto traditions.
Expect shout outs, singalongs, sweeties thrown into the audience, and custard pies in Aladdin, which is written by Will Brentonm with original music and songs by Steve Edis.
Aladdin runs at The Hackney Empire Mare Street from November 18 until December 31. Bookings are now open.
