Police seek robber who tied up store clerks in south London

London police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a robbery that saw two store clerks tied up late last month.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on August 31 when an employee of a store on Wonderland Road South near Southdale Road let a man inside. The man proceeded to tie up two of the employees before demanding cellphones and cash. The man then took off running.

Police were called and searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect at the time.

Investigators on Monday released a surveillance image of a suspect in hopes the public will be able to help identify him.

The man is described as Black, between the ages of 20 and 30, approximately 6’5, with a slim build. He was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit with the hood up around his face along with black running shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information about this incident or who can identify the suspect is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
