Leonardo Gabbanini worked closely with new manager Ange Postecoglou in the summer as the two of them rebuilt the squad.

They signed 7 players in the summer including James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Guglielmo, Ashley Phillips, Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson, and Alejo Veliz.

The loan deals of Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski were also made permanent.

The transfer window has been deemed a massive success despite the club losing Harry Kane.

All their signings have made an instant impact and the likes of Maddison and Micky van de Ven have already become huge fan favourites.

The news of Gabbanini’s departure has also been confirmed by Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold.

The Italian was appointed by former managing director of football Fabio Paratici.

The decision to leave could do with the appointment of Scott Munn who starts on Thursday.

The newly appointed Chief Football Officer, Scott Munn, officially commenced his role at the club on Thursday.

It is anticipated that he will promptly recruit a Technical Director to serve as a bridge between himself and Postecoglou, taking on the responsibilities of a Director of Football.

The appointment of Munn is seen as a major coup for Tottenham, as he is a highly respected figure in the football world.
