Man and woman found dead in west London apartment died of gunshot wounds, police say

A man and woman who were found dead inside a west London apartment last Thursday died of gunshot wounds, London police revealed on Wednesday.

The Major Crimes Unit has been investigating since the deceased were found inside a sixth-floor unit of the 12-storey building at 565 Proudfoot Lane.

The woman has been identified by friends as Tiffany Gates, 30, of London — a restaurant server who was remembered as someone with an infectious laugh and a bubbly personality.

Initial reports from police said there was no danger to the public, and the deceased were known to each other.

Post-mortem examinations have been completed, and police have determined that both individuals died of gunshot wounds. Investigators also located a gun in the apartment, according to a police statement.

The investigation is ongoing and police are working alongside the Office of the Chief Coroner to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

London police said the ongoing investigation is expected to take time and they will release more information as they feel it is appropriate.
