Violinist sues celebrity Pilates trainer after broken elbow leaves her unable to play

An internationally acclaimed violinist is suing a London Pilates trainer over claims that an injury caused by an exercise machine left her unable to perform.

Maya Meron, who has played with the London Symphony Orchestra, claimed that she suffered a serious injury while at the Heartcore studio, in Hampstead, north London, which is run by Jess Schuring.

The Pilates specialist, who is also known as Jessie Blum, is said to have provided personal training to celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Elle Macpherson and Robbie Williams.

In written submissions to the county court, lawyers for the 43-year-old musician have alleged that she suffered a fractured left elbow and serious abdominal injuries when a Pilates machine at Schuring’s studio collapsed forward in 2019.
