12 stabbed in horror month across south east London

This only includes stabbings that the News Shopper is aware of and has reported on in August.

The month saw a string of attacks in Woolwich, Orpington, Erith, Lewisham, Dulwich, Sydenham and New Cross.  

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police. 

Three males taken to hospital after triple stabbing in Orpington

Three males were taken to hospital after a triple stabbing in Orpington.

Officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Sevenoaks Way at around 3.40pm on August 18.

A male, aged in his teens, was found with a laceration to his leg, and a second male was found in a car suffering from a stab injury.

Around 15 minutes later police found a third male stabbed in St Mary Cray Road.

All three were taken to hospital for treatment where their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening.

They were also been arrested on suspicion of GBH.

Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Erith

A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Erith. 

The incident happened in Rainbow Road just before 3.10pm on August 20. 

London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured. 

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priority. 

His condition was assessed as non-life threatening.  

Person taken to hospital after stabbing in south east London

A person has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon. 

The incident happened in Hermitage Lane, SE25, just before 11.20am on August 7.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a person injured.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life threatening.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident. 

Man in his 30s taken to hospital after stabbing in Lewisham

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Lewisham.

The incident happened in Hither Green Lane at 12.30am on August 21.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and found a man injured.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as critical but stable.

Another man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was taken into police custody.

Man, 25, taken to hospital after stabbing in Dulwich

A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing during a fight in Dulwich.

The incident happened in Croxted Road Estate just after 10.45pm on August 19.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and found a man injured.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

Two teens taken to hospital after double stabbing in Sydenham

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital after a double stabbing in Sydenham.

The incident happened in Sydenham Hill just before 4.15pm on August 15.

Officers attended and found two teens, aged 16 and 18, injured. 

They were taken to hospital where their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening. 

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested near the scene in connection with the incident. 

Man, 20, dies after stabbing in New Cross

A 20-year-old man has died after a stabbing in New Cross.

The incident happened in Kender Street just before 1am on August 4.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition for treatment.

Despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead shortly after. 

Two men in hospital after double stabbing in Woolwich

Two men are in hospital after a double stabbing in Woolwich.

Police were informed that a man attended hospital with a stab injury at around 7.20pm on August 26.

Another man was also found with a stab injury in Willow Lane and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Both of their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening.
