Newly single Ellie Goulding is seen laughing with divorcing Tory peer Zac Goldsmith outside his home in West London
He’s a millionaire Tory peer and she’s a pop star raised by a ‘super poor’ mum on a council estate.
However, despite their wildly different upbringings, Zac Goldsmith and Ellie Goulding have put their unlikely bond down to their shared love of green issues.
But now the pair, who both recently split from their partners, appear to have become even closer after they were spotted near his new West London home together.
Wearing a navy Nike baseball cap, Ms Goulding was seen stepping out of Lord Goldsmith’s Volkswagen Golf.
They were then seen giggling at something on his phone near to the £3million mansion that he moved into following his separation from his second wife Alice Rothschild after ten years of marriage.

Ms Goulding was dressed in a white long sleeved T-shirt, light stonewash jeans and tan Birkenstock sandals.
One onlooker said: ‘They looked like they were having a lovely time. Ellie was laughing, it was like they didn’t have a care in the world.’
The politician’s new rented home is just minutes from where Ms Goulding, 36, lives with her husband of nearly four years, Caspar Jopling, 31.
Despite living separate lives, she and Mr Jopling are cohabiting for the sake of their two-year-old son, Arthur.
Shortly after Ms Goulding’s team confirmed the news of her separation from Mr Jopling to a tabloid newspaper, friends of Lord Goldsmith confirmed that they had become ‘friendly’. But a spokesman for the singer insisted that they do not speak outside of work matters.

They first met at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow, in November 2021, and kept in contact
Lord Goldsmith, 48, is the Eton-educated son of late billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith, while Ms Goulding grew up on a Herefordshire council estate.

Seven months later they were spotted enjoying a lunch together at upmarket cafe The Garden in Covent Garden, central London, and were later seen at The Wolseley restaurant in Mayfair.
In October 2022 they spent the evening at the same party at the exclusive London members’ club LouLou’s at 5 Hertford Street and just weeks later they were reunited for the next global climate change summit, COP27, in Egypt.
Ms Goulding married art dealer Mr Jopling in a star-studded ceremony at York Minster in August 2019. The guest list included the likes of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.
Lord Goldsmith was previously married to fellow environmentalist Sheherazade Bentley but they split in 2010. The politician resigned as a minister in June after accusing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of being ‘uninterested’ in the environment.
