On your e-bike! Chestertons partners with sustainable…

Chestertons has become the first corporate partner to sign up to London e-bike operator Forest’s employee scheme in an effort to further reduce its environmental impact.

As part of the new partnership, the London agent is funding a number of membership packages for its staff, who will be encouraged to swap their electric cars for Forest’s e-bikes to conduct viewings and for their commute.

The partnership with Forest has been spearheaded by one of the company’s new ‘Green Champions’, Fion Wang, who was also responsible for signing Chestertons up to the Camden Clean Air Initiative in June.

Wang said: “There is a lot of interest from staff across the company about how we can further reduce our carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the environment and we have formed a group of Green Champions to discuss and implement our ideas, with the support of business. This partnership with Forest is the second new environmental initiative that we have launched this summer and we have lots more in the pipeline.”

John Ennis, chief executive of Chestertons, said: “As a business, we are always looking at ways we can contribute to a healthier and cleaner planet but I am incredibly proud of the energy and drive displayed by our staff – all of whom have very busy full-time roles – in developing partnerships like this with Forest.

“Having announced the partnership at Chestertons’ Summer Party last week, we have had a fantastic response from branch staff and are hoping to further expand the partnership over the coming months.”

Forest – which rebranded from Human Forest on 1st August 2023 –  runs a sustainable shared e-bike scheme in London, powered entirely by certified renewable energy and pedal power.

Jamie Richards, head of sales at Forest, said: “It’s fantastic to announce a household name like Chestertons as our inaugural ‘Forest Commuter’ partner.

“The scale and scope of the partnership is exciting. As a leading London estate agency Chestertons has a lot of people moving around the city, frequently, and it’s promising to know that Forest can help more companies move from A to B in a fun, active and sustainable way.”
